ScribeRight, established in 2000, was the vision of one woman, founder Lisa Pike, who saw that, with the ever-increasing advances in technology and the ever-increasing demand for quality medical documentation, there was great potential in a system that did a great job of marrying the two. After an exhaustive search of Internet-based platforms, we chose one that would deliver the most features with the greatest ease, and then built on that platform. The decision was made right from the beginning that accuracy, security and great service would be the cornerstones of our business.

ScribeRight’s beginnings were humble, as a one-woman home-based business with one local client, but it was built on a very high standard of excellence and customer service. As word got out, ScribeRight grew by leaps and bounds, and through word-of-mouth advertising only increased its client base from 4 doctors to hundreds within just the first 3 years. Even now our new clients come almost exclusively through endorsements from existing happy clients. Today that client list includes affiliates from around western Washington, as well as clinics located in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming. We employ transcriptionists and editors from all over the United States, but we have a strict policy that none of our work ever goes out of the country, not even to Canada. Does that make our overhead higher than others? Absolutely! However, does it increase quality and security? It does without question. That is why we do it.

At ScribeRight we credit our success to a passion for bringing up the standard of medical documentation. As one client puts it, “I think of medical reports as a form of communication, not just a document.” She, like so many others, wants that communication to be clear, effective and accurate, and ScribeRight takes pride in being an integral part of that. We’re part of the team that includes front and back office staff, healthcare providers, lab and pharmacy personnel, IT technicians and transcriptionists, who all contribute their part to creating an accurate and complete patient record.
